Stef & Chris came back to the same place they’d gotten married at—Rock State Park in Jarrettsville, MD—to commemorate their baby’s first big birthday milestone. (Beautiful spot to take your family if you haven’t been.)
Dean’s just about one year old, and he’s on the move, so we opted for Wilson’s Park—a quiet & open playground area with a traditional metal, burn-your-butt-off metal slide. Perfect space for a roaming human of his size.

Looking at these photos, you can see that Stef’s laugh is infectious. Both her & Chris celebrated every little step Dean took with tons of laughter. I loved his curiosity—he’s happy, like every baby deserves to be.
And even though Covid’s still happening, when I see these photos, I see nothing but a strong young family who’s navigated some extra obstacles and come out on top.
Stef & Chris were patient, and playful, and comforting—everything a baby would need from its parents in a new adventure like this.
