The Maricks are a blended family with 3 teenage boys. Anytime you see a post from their mom, Ange, you’re going to get complete realness and honesty about their growth and challenges.

And that’s amazing, because when you meet them in person, it’s like you already know them—because she doesn’t just celebrate their grades or sports awards. She talks about who they are as individuals, and the strength they’ve shown after going through some genuinely choppy roads no teenagers should have to go through.

They are all so kind, so go-with-the-flow, and up for an adventure (…like the photo of them almost falling into freezing water when the dock started sinking under their weight). Of course they made fart jokes when they had to stand close together, there was lots of wrestling, and the boys bickered while Ange & Paul laughed and rolled their eyes.

Like me, they come to Lake Williams to find some peace of mind, and for the good times too. I was lucky to share my favorite spot with them, and we were totally gifted a snow storm a few days before, so we got a beautiful isolated wonderland to work with, along with their own home 🙂
