What Shayla needed from her copywriter branding photography
Shayla’s the owner of Anthology Marketing Studio where she offers copywriting for artists.
This year she’s planning to release a course, so she needed content to use in that, on her website, and for her Youtube channel she’ll be promoting this year, too.
When you look into getting brand photography it is so important to think of all the things you’re going to need photos for. That allows you to work backwards and get the right ones instead of wasting times that don’t make sense with your messaging. For help with that, I created a guide you can steal on 30+ ways to use your brand photography to make yourself more memorable.
Shayla’s brand identity
We pushed her session back an entire month to make sure we could secure a spot in Arcadia University’s mirror room because it was just the Harry Potter vibes we were seeking for her session.
Her brand vibe is what she calls “grounded in magic”. It’s very polished, soft, and creative.
The brand personality and beliefs we communicated
Your brand photos should reflect all of what your brand is bringing to the table, and it should be completely transparent about what it is and what it isn’t.
So through this process, we dug into what that looked like for Shayla & Anthology Marketing Studio’s brand.
Here’s what she wanted her brand photography to communicate as a copywriter:
• It’s essential to seek magic in the mundane
• Learning never stops
• No good story is without hurdles and every story has power
• Laughter is good for the soul
She said it best herself. “If AMS were a person they would likely be found curled up with a book, researching historical texts, wandering grassy fields, coastlines, and forests sporting a billowing dress in the breeze, sprawled out with artsy creations, or sitting under the stars discussing worldly philosophies with dear friends.”
So that’s exactly what we went for.
